Yellowed headlights/"Diamond-cut" clear lenses
My 1995 Explorer headlights really cut down on the pattern, even with Sylvania Silverstars, due to aging/yellowing lenses. Using plastic cleaners/fine steel wool, etc, has not really helped. The ExplorerX forum http://web.explorerx.com/performance/dc.php recommends "Diamond-cut" clear headlight assemblies. Does any one have experience using these? If so, which brand, and how hard to install?

Is there something else I could try? (steel wool, rubbing compound or etc?) Thanks. |

Yellowed headlights/"Diamond-cut" clear lenses
I have tried fine steel wool and various other "compounds" made for the
purpose, with very limited success. I think at some point the lenses need to be replaced. I would prefer the diamond-cut lenses from what I have read, but would like to hear from someone who has tried them... OEMs are the other option.
