Prison for driver who killed girl

Eleazar Rangel-Ochoa shouldn't have been driving.

Four-year-old Josie Bluhm shouldn't be dead.

Those two facts are undeniable – and the tragic consequences of those facts
were undeniably evident in a Douglas County courtroom Friday.

A solemn Douglas County District Judge J Russell Derr sentenced Rangel-
Ochoa to 32 months to six years years in prison – the maximum sentence for
misdemeanor motor-vehicle homicide and for felony driving while he was
suspended.

Rangel-Ochoa, 27, ran a red light about 7:30 a.m. May 12 – crashing a truck
into a van driven by Jayme Bluhm and carrying the Bluhms' three children.

Rangel-Ochoa, an illegal immigrant, had lost his license for 15 years after
his third drunken-driving conviction in 2003.

He wasn't drunk on May 12 – hence the misdemeanor motor-vehicle homicide
charge.

So driving with a suspended license is a felony but homicide is a
misdemeanor!!!!!

What the **** is he even doing with a license to begin with?
Where's he been living for the past six years? California?
And nobody gives a thought about sending him back to Mexico?

Lots of states let these illegal beans have licenses even though all
mexicans are serial DUIs and serial hit-and-runs. Pure insanity but the
politicians are paid big bribes to support the illegals.

How does this thought scare you?
You're driving down the road right in front of the Governor's house.
Smack! You get hit hard and are injured. Police come and the other driver
is found to be DUI. Worse, he's an illegal alien. But he produces a valid
driver's license.
Now ponder this one, why not file suit against the state for failure to
comply with the ADP treaty? Arguing the state aided and abetted a criminal.
According to federal law, no license can be granted unless you have the
ADP. Oh but wait, he can't get one because he doesn't have one in Mexico
either.

Simple solution. No green card, no license. Period.
