Default Kilometers vs. MPH

2005 Kia Amanti. The car was bought in Canada and the odometer is KM
only. The analog speedo has both KM and MPH.

When selling the car in the US what hit can one expect for the KM only
odometer.

Thanks

Don't mention it. Advertise the great gas mileage it gets

Especially if using gallons instead of liters.

Hard to imagine any rational way to figure it into the price; the
reading is important among the factors that determine a car's
value, but the units in question would seem not even on the map.
Conceivably some people who are properly suspicious about used cars,
but not quite smart and/or worldly enough to figure out SI units,
might shy off the purchase; but you should get the full price when you
find a customer. You may have to convert the reading to miles one
last time when you fill out the sales paperwork, if your state's forms
don't have a check box for km.

Cheers,
--Joe
