i second that. i've seen hondas with replaced pumps that have failed
inside 30k miles. because they were cheapo aftermarket crap - they'd
definitely have been more reliable with the original unreplaced oem pump.

fair enough. i just get sick of this retarded knee-jerk "always replace
everything" attitude most shops have. half the time, they cause more
problems than they "solve". changing oil seals on cam belt changes is
my other pet peeve - it's almost always accompanied by damage to the
aluminum castings or even to the shafts. left to their own devices,
honda seals are usually good for at least two or three belt lives.
especially if a decent quality oil is used. there's absolutely no need
to change them most of the time but it's routinely done anyway.
