A cheapo Rolex look-a-like works much better and NOBODY knows that a Patek Philippe costs x4 times more and works better. |

I have cufflinks made from 18x13mm gemstones (like amethyst) and solid gold. Ladies often admire them :-), however even these are only worth £500 a pair tops. OTOH a very el cheapo Casio Wave-ceptor keeps time to better than 0.5s and never needs winding or batteries and works MUCH better than all the expensive watches (Rolex, Rado, Rotary (spit)...) that aren't badge engineered from it. I expect GPS based watches soon, accurate to 10nS. |

I finally got a shirt with french cuffs (the kind that take cuff links), but I have trouble wearing a $200 watch and $2000 cuff links. And, my wife is seldom impressed in a possitive manner by the money that I can spend if given the chance. I'm not sure my BMW baseball cap and my BMW cuff links would go well together, especially when they are put together with my Cobain flip flops. I'll pass on the links, and wear the hat and shoes with my suit ... |

But keep trying. Oscar might be able to help. He's told us here more than once that his wife is a sex-crazed knob-gobbler who he cannot allow out on her own. Certainly not within my definition of 'nice lady.' What say you, Oscar? Does your "wife" appreciate fine cufflinks? -- Dan. |
