Oil, with Gas?
Possibly fuel pump has ruptured and the fuel is dropping down into the case.
Or carb problems maybe. Too rich or leaks after you shut the engine off. "Scotty" > wrote in message oups.com... > ok, whe i check my oil i smell gas mixed in... its a 1970 ve beetle, > is that normal??? if not, what could be the problem??? Thanks for ur > help!!! > |

I can't think of how gas would get into the case through the valves but I'm no expert. With FI you could have a leaking injector, but with a carb I think the main suspect would be a faulty fuel pump leaking fuel down the pushrod into the case. -- Michael Cecil http://home.roadrunner.com/~macecil/ http://home.roadrunner.com/~safehex/ http://home.roadrunner.com/~macecil/hackingvista/ |
