98 neon with a sticking door handle

My dad's 98 neon (dodge) has a door handle when you shut the door it
does close the door because the outside handle won't close how do you
fix this thanks Gary

Maybe I had too much to drink last night, but I cannot make
any sense of what you're saying. Let me try another angle:

Can you use the outside door handle to open the door?

Can you use the inside door handle to open the door?

Sounds like the linkage that goes from the handle
to the door latching mechanism is hanging. I'd
take the door panel off and see where the binding
is happening - might be nothing more than lubing
those points with some grease.

Hold the outside handle out,
look on the bottom of the latch for a star wheel
pry it towards the body of the car
It will snap into place
Don't hold the handle out when closing the door
