If you paid 43K pounds for a 6 year old car you got screwed.

It's not the car that is the problem. It's the dealerships (system?) in
your country. I'm betting I'd be able to get pretty much any part like this
here (in the US) by overnight express freight if I wanted it badly.

So comparing like for like, a car which cost 43k 6 years ago is only
"half a car" when compared to one which cost £37k 17 years ago!!!
(Allowing for inflation of course).

Like my E32 7 series.

My french hothatch cost £4400 17 years ago, which makes it
comparible to the tax paid when the beemer left the forecourt.

And the tax paid on the hothatch probably matched the cost of
the first service of the beemer!!

So how come the ax is as fighting fit as the bmw??
