Default Disc brakes for a 1963 Giulia spider

I'm trying to find out for a friend what the best way to go for front
discs for this car. Do we use the '65 bits, or is there an aftermarket
solution some of you folks might know about? The '65 bits don't look
all that good to me. We put a 2 liter GTV engine in it and it's brakes
are, shall we say, inadequate.

A friend of mine fitted on scalino fronts of Audi (vented, grooved). Of
course it need also mounting kit (callipers, discs) but works quite well.

From aftermarket choice - there is some amount of solutions, but they are
all quite expensive - Tarox, Outlaw or Brembo. Don't know if they have any
adapters for fitting in 750 (am I right it's drum type on front?).

Since originality is not top of your agenda, why not fit a modern
braking system.
Working in reverse, what wheels do you intend to use, then use vented,
and slotted discs as Red Dot(many alfa variants better quality than
brembo). As you have existing drums, you will need to replace some of
the suspension elements to support disc calipers, etc.....
