While I am not condoning vandalism, I must point out that not all graffiti
is gang related tagging, and not all graffiti is ugly.

I have seen graffiti artists create some wonderful murals that you might
or might not want to have decorating your walls, but unfortunately, our
local governments seem to feel that all graffiti is bad, even if the
property owner approves and gives permission.

I'll freely admit that most of the graffiti out there is ugly/gang tags/etc,
but there are artists out there, who if given a canvas, can create art.

Of course, since this happened in Oakland, I'm sure it was gang related..

Wow, I had almost forgotten about that one. It's been years.

Wasn't that one done with a "grant" that basically was financed by the
taxpayers?

Hoepfully in a couple more years (or less!), I'll forget about it again
