When we were out there last weekend, there were at least a hundred cars out
there, not all of them racing but a bunch of them did.
Over and over and over....

Kristen even got to ride down the track in an SS Camaro that did a 6.65 in
the 1/8th and he was NOT really pushing it cause he knew her momma would
whoop him

I think that name is already taken by a tranvestite only strip club just
outside of San Francisco.

I don't think you're being hypocritical. What you and I did was not the
same as this crap. It wasn't this ridiculous and stupid. And how I
race a dude in a car on the street is not the same. I'm not looking for
"schtreet credit", I'm just having fun with someone. This stuff goes on
here, there, and everywhere. It's big in Latin America, doing stunts
etc. in a crowd of others.

If I do race someone, I don't ever race wannabe cholo scrubs, I race
others whom I sense are enthusiasts, and might just have a sense of both
their and others' mortalities, a respect for machinery, as well as an
awareness the risk factors. I let off after I know I've beaten them, or
I've been beaten. I don't want some idiot that will stomp his brakes
while I'm under full throttle (if he gets past me) to prove a point.
Sure, all of that is hard to get from 10 seconds at a stoplight, but I
know what to avoid. They're so busy proclaiming their idiotic selves to
the world, it's obvious who it is, most of the time.

The difference is whether it's basically civilized and friendly or not.
This is not. I understand pride, but this crosses the line into
stupidity. This is unskilled idiocy that anyone could do, put to music
anyone can get, pumped out of systems anyone can buy, with a decidedly
malicious side instead of the more laid-back "out cruising for chicks"
vibe. This is just trash having a trashy old good time.

Well, see the "Side Show" is the big car show going on in the lot
nex to the drag strip, so both are appropriate. Krazy Kates Kar Sideshow
would be an event AT "Dangerous Dicks Drag & Strip."

His dad was a Dick, so he is a Dick.
His son, though named Richard as well, goes by his first name not Dick or
Richard.

Somehow it doesn't really seem offensive until you think of it that way.
Back in the day it wasn't a bad word. He is FROM back in the day!
Like the old "Dick & Jane" books.

My kids all call him "Chard" from a nickname I gave him. (pronounced
Shard)They obviously are not comfortable calling him Dick. Prolly cause he
is such a great guy.
