I would change the trans oil. I always start my cars in neutral and they
always start.

I have a Saturn and its a 5 speed and I have a remote starter in it and its
been in there for the last 5 years and always worked good and started good
with the remote and I live in Manitoba Canada now thats cold at times lol
anyways mine is a PRO START and like i said it works good

Default Remote start for standard transmission?

Hopefully it's not too late to add something. Have you considered what will
happen if you start your Miata when it's not in neutral?

I bypassed the neutral interlock on both my stick shift cars. I really dont
need to be protected from myself.
