Hi,
I have alfa 156 2.0 TS. Average fuel consumption is 14 - 14.4 l/100 km,
city driving. Engine is 100000 km old.
Is that too much for this car?

EUII-spec 2.0 TS: 11.7 l/100km
EU-III-spec 2.0 TS: 12.3 l/100km
EU-IV-spec 2.0 JTS: 12.2 l/100km

Your car is thus a bit thirstier than these numbers - BUT - there is no
such thing as "standard" driving conditions. If your trips are in very
heavy traffic, or often short and with a cold engine, then your figures
could well be about right for that car.

So thats about 20 miles per gallon by my reckoning.

I get about 25 mpg from mine with an even mix of road/motorway and including
a good bit of flogging, so unless you have a very heavy right foot it is a
bit on the high side.
