Default rFactor Credit Card purchase question

Hi,

How is the CC purchase supposed to work? I downloaded the game, started it
up and got to the purchase screen. After a few "connect to the internet"
messages, I finally managed to fill in my CC details, pressed purchase,
and after a while I got a "succeeded" screen, and rFactor worked.

Isn't one supposed to get a registration code? A confirmation email?
SOMETHING? I did this on Friday evening...

thanks,
-peter

I got an email back containing the code. Like you I didn't have to enter
the code to get rF working. I think that is all taken care of
automatically for you when you first purchase rF. I think you use the
code if you need to reinstall.

My purchase was the same, I still haven't got an email with a code,
but the game works...

Cheers!

Do they at least send you a copy of the game in the mail or is that extra?

No, ISI is selling rF totally without any corporate backing. Thus the
extra money for things we would normally see, like the fancy box art, the
jewel case, the heavy stock manual, even motion captured 3d pit crews is
just not there.
But nothing is stopping you from burning your own copy to a cdrom. THere
is even some jewel case cover art that a private user did that is available
for download, I think it was at RSC.

Why not pass the cost savings on, $29.00 sounds reasonable. Oh well i'll
stop complaining now and just buy it. The demo is badass, I can't wait to
drive the F1 cars..

No, they don't. BTW, the delivery is handled by trymedia, not by ISI
themself. Trymedia offers the possiblilty to send you a CD for the
price of shipping and handling.

Cheers!

As I wrote earlier, I had the same problem, which I mailed to ISI. I
got an answer today (on Sunday!) that I've to contact Trymedia.

http://www.trymedia.com/

There in the support section you can tell them you never got an email.
So far I've had no answer, but then again, it's Sunday..

Cheers!

Remco
