Sorry to hear that, I'm still managing my Miata but my back forced me to sell my beloved 1985 Jaguar XJS, the combination of a very high door sill and low roof required folding the back to get into the critter and my back does not bend, any, at all, none, nada! -- XS11E, Killing all posts from Google Groups The Usenet Improvement Project: http://twovoyagers.com/improve-usenet.org/ |

Glad you can, just wonder how you manage. Chris 99BBB |

I don't want to sound hard, but, I was in a very bad airplane crash some years ago and my neck C-4,-5,-6 are fused, my lower back is fused L-4,-5 with metal inside and last year I had my left hip replaced. I need my knees replaced , but I am resisting that for now. I don't get in or out of my 2003 LS, but "I AIN'T given her up!! " It just feels too good after I'm in to drive anything else. Some times you just have to put up with a little pain to enjoy life for this one time I have on this earth. Sell your MIATA ? Come on !!! Bruce Haskin , oh yah, I am also 75 years old.too :-). |

No problem, I back up to the car, sit on the seat, pivot, lean in and swing my legs in, I have more room between the seat and the edge of the roof than I did in the XJS. It's even easier with the top down! -- XS11E, Killing all posts from Google Groups The Usenet Improvement Project: http://twovoyagers.com/improve-usenet.org/ |

I have my Miata running nicely again, brakes finished, it just needs tires, registration, inspection and insurance, no problem. Oh yeah, I need to replace the top too. 6 months of driving only the Honda Accord has taken a toll, I can't wait to have the Miata back on the road! Pat |

In fact, I'm a pilot as well, and I would not sell my plane as long as someone can lower me into the thing with a crane, etc.! Still, I replaced the Miata with a Mini Cooper S, which I fall into and out of very easily and gives the same basic driving thrill as the Miata. (But not the wind-in-the-face. Oh well.) I've owned Miatas since they came out in 1990 and love them. Before that I owned Triumphs, Datsun Roadsters and Z cars, and a Fiat Spyder. The front drive Mini is a departure for me, but I'm getting used to it. So - the Miata must go. The insurance and registration is due in the next month and I don't want to shell out any more cash to the state than I have to. If someone wants a great deal, give me a call. Mike ps: What did/do you fly? I've presently got a 1979 Piper Tomahawk. |

Bruce, you are a true Miataphile! Glad you can stick with it! Our Buddy Mike is no less a car lover, it seems, he's just a bit more 'practical' minded. Rock on bud! Chris 99BBB |
