On a Radeon 8500, 9000 or 9200 most or all of the scenery is constantly flickering on and off at about framerate speed. This makes the game totally unplayable. ATi has been aware of the problem for about a month or so: http://www.ati.com/support/infobase/4657.html I'm just afraid that the problem won't have much of a priority for them and maybe they'll think the game isn't popular enough (and the graphics cards are too old) and has been out long enough for them to discard the problem. |

> Ati's latest driver released today For what it's worth, that driver solved a problem I had with a copy of NFS:U2 I just bought today. Using my old Catalysts, (4.9 I think) when I started a race all you could see were the bright light sources, headlights and streetlights and such. The rest of the screen was black. Except for the rearview mirror, oddly enough. I was tempted to try racing in reverse, but... <grin> Upgrading to 4.11 fixed the problem. This is with an ATI 9800XT (256MB) card. ....Klinn |
