K&N don't do squat plus you will need to keep the sensor wires in the inlet clean from the oil in the filter. Save your money and replace the paper element more often. Go with long tube headers, high flow cats, "X" pipe, and cat back exhaust. Now you got it breathing you can and should do something with the LS1 edit. You remove the computer, ship it to him and what you have done to it, how you intend to drive it, and he reprograms it and sends it back. After I did most of the things I suggested my C5 began to start hard, no back pressure. I was also way undersize on tires, couldn't keep it under me. So I updated the suspension, the brakes, wheels, tires, and it still was nearly uncontrollable. So I took it all off and traded it for an 04 which made a few trips coast to coast and then traded it for and 05. Now it stays where you put it and it is quick for a reskined C5. I've driven them since Sept of 1956 and this is my 11th one and by far the best ever, as it should be. -- Dad 05 C6 Silver/Red 6spd Z51 72 Shark Black/Black/4spd |

Get a hypertech programmer if you have a 93 or newer Corvette.
Midamerica has them as well as the chips for older Corvettes. M wrote: > Which HiPo chip do you guys recommend for a 2001 stock LS1 > Or- > How does one do a performance upgrade? > I'm thinking Chip & K& N......? > > > > |
