Default Fuel guage failure on 2003 Vue?

Hi,
I filled up my Vue a few days ago. Guage went to full. As I drove for the
next 1/2 hr it plummeted to a 1/4 tank like I was leaking fuel. ( i wasn't).
Now it just hangs around empty, if I fill up it might go to almost 1/2 tank
reading. The car runs fine so it knows it has fuel. Any ideas on what
failed, electrical, or whatever?

Thanks, Jim

I don't know, but I had the very same problem with my 03 Vue this
winter. On some of the coldest days, it would behave exactly as
you describe. It only did it a couple times, and I haven't had a
problem since. If you find out what the deal is, please post.

Seems like something the dealer should fix under warranty.
Most likely it is a problem with the sending unit in the
tank.
