....that there's always some idiot parked at the curb in front of the
liquor store with his flashers on, even when there's several open spaces
less than 10 yards away? I mean, I see this everywhere, but I can't
remember the last time I stopped at the liquor store and there wasn't
some a-hole out front. Today it was classic, one a-hole left and as
soon as he did another took his place.

Some people are just more special than others, I guess. Either that or
the extra minute of walking back and forth before they could have that
drink would just be too much.

Let's not even start about the numb **** that was strolling straight
down the middle of the traffic lane through the parking lot - not an
aisle mind you, the actual traffic lane - or the guy that blatantly ran
the red light in front of me while I was pulling out of the shopping center.

It just reinforces my belief that strip malls bring out the worst in
people. Or maybe the worst of people. Or both, I can't decide.

For some reason, the Home Depot in Dearborn, MI was the absolute. worst.
store. EVAR. to visit. Driving through that parking lot was absolutely
guaranteed to cause even the most serene of humans severe apoplectic
fits and/or acts of extreme brutality and violence against his fellow
man. Fortunately I have not had need to visit there since 2001ish, but
I absolutely dreaded shopping there, not because of the store or its
staff, but because of the near-impossible rudeness and just general
stupidity of the clientele. Which was odd, because all my neighbors at
the time were fairly nice people... but I digress.

Did I mention that strip malls are instruments of Satan?

To *walk* that 10 yeads back and forth or to *stagger* that 10 yards?
(my supposition being that the people you refer to are already loaded)
Sorry, couldn't resist...

Tonight... I shop at a small independent grocery store. Small lot. I am
crossing (walking) the isle to the store's door. It goes from my right to my
left. Sight line is bad from the left. I look left and there is a full
size van doing about 30mph the wrong way down the isle. I stop, he slows,
I cross I point the direction of the isle. (obvious from the (full) angled
parking and faded arrows on the pavement) He rolls down the window and
yells something at me..

Solution: A cordless drywall screw gun, and a collection of metal
discs, with center holes, stamped with text to fit the occasion, such
as:
"Screw line cutters"
"Learn to PARK"
"This is for running that red light today"

Leave a few of them screwed to the offender's tire sidewalls. They
won't block traffic by deflating immediately, but they'll screw up the
tire balance and force replacement of the tire(s)

What makes you think they won't deflate right away if
you screw "a few" drywall screws into the sidewall of
a tire?

It wouldn't happen to be a delivery truck most of the time? They seem
to be the most common offenders of the type to park illegally when a
perfectly legal space is nearby.

Not unless delivery drivers have started driving Bimmers and pickups
with "bling" wheels...

Personal experience with screws and other sharp objects in tires.,.
They usually cause a very slow leak because they plug the hole they
just made. They never leak fast unil they're removed.
Now, with the sidewall, it may not work that well, since there's far
less thickness to seal against the screw..
