Why do you think it is a sensor? I'd guess it was a leaky injector. If
the temperature sensor was faulty, it would tell the PCM that the
engine was always cold, which would lead to an enriched mixture.
However, this should set a code and turn on the MIL. Is the light on?
If so, have you had the codes read?
