Import LHD into the UK
Hi,
I'm starting a job in the UK in October. Planning on taking my car so I have means of transportation. Since it's a Dutch car it's LHD and European Mainland specs. What do I have to do to import it into the UK? Will changing the headlights do? I looked at the DVLA website, but not much help there. Eventually I want to be on UK roadtax and insurrance instead of the Dutch........(UK is much cheaper) Any comments welcome Regards VMax1000 Alfa 147 JTD, Eibach lowered, tuned 150bhp 365Nm, Ragazzon exhaust..... |

Yep. That is it. Just remember to drive on the Left :-) If you have a Full Driving License and your car is taxed and registered at home then you can drive in the UK for 6 months without doing anything about registering the car in the UK. The DVLA page you need is: http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/expt...%20A%20VEHICLE Hope the job goes well. Pete -- > 156 2.0 TS (2001) - Proteo Rosso |
