Any experience with a Titan stroker?
Titan Engines in Ocala FL remanufactures the 4.0 inline six as a
stroker with 4.6-4.7 liters. I have one going into my 2001 Grand Cherokee currently without modifications. They say it will run fine as is and will do better with a variable MAP sensor and 24-lb injectors in place of the stock 19-lb units. Does anyone here have any experience with this engine or its modifications? -- C.R. Krieger |

You could use a boost-a-pump unit to increase fuel pressure or an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on the rail. Increasing fuel pressure does the same thing as larger injectors, it's your call. I'd probably go with larger injectors and the stock MAP. Might ask the Yahoo strokers group. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/strokers/ -- -- DougW -- 93 ZJ 4.0 http://revbeergoggles.com HESCO Supercharger - 300W IASCA Stereo - Edelbrock IAS Shocks Gibson Exhaust - rear DCpower - custom gauge install - Stillen Rotors Banks Header - and BEER, in the fridge! |

Also look at Golen as another alternatives. Lower temp thermostat, free flowing exhaust, larger TB, 24 LB injectors, adjustable MAP sensor and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator are all reccommended and probably required to run pump gas without pinging. But I will check on the Yahoo group. > Lower temp thermostat, free > flowing exhaust, larger TB, 24 LB injectors, adjustable MAP sensor and > an adjustable fuel pressure regulator are all recommended and probably > required to run pump gas without pinging. The injectors are on their way, I have the parts for the MAP sensor, and a thermostat sounds like an easy swap. But for the cost of the exhaust, TB, and AFPR, I can buy a lot of premium if I have to ... -- C.R. Krieger |
