Well, I'd say in part it's because he's half-a-heartbeat from being a
faded memory here and some folks still have a stockpile of Sweet
Billy material to use, so it may be in part just unloading old stock
before it becomes even more worthless.

A lot like when Nixon resigned; comedians were overstocked with
then-worthless Nixon jokes and were worried about an upcoming humour
shortage.

So, I guess it's "dump 'em if you got 'em, he'll soon be forgotten."
