E61 touring rattles!

Trivial I know but there are various rattles and squeaks in my E61 (525d
M Sport Touring) - one seems to be from the pillar between the front and
rear doors on the drivers side but the most annoying is from the load
cover assembly - it is inconsistent but sometimes it creaks and groans
with every minor road imperfection or even simply changing direction.
The bizarre thing is that some of the time it is completely silent. The
car has 37k miles on it and is still under the BMW approved used car
warranty. They have "fixed" it before only for the noises to return a
few weeks later. Appreciate any thoughts on this. It sounds trivial but
it drives me nuts and it is booked into the (main) dealer again this
Friday for another look - as it is intermittent of course it makes it
all the more difficult to ensure it gets resolved.

I had an E39 Touring before and feel that it was a much better-built car
all round.
