a/c evaporator leak - '95 miata
a/c has been leaking freon for a couple of years. started out 15 months
between refills, now down to 3 months. mechanic used dye, says evaporator needs replacing. cost $837. is that a fair price? is something else likely to go out once I replace the evaporator? car only has 28,000 miles on it. thanks for your help. |

Once the Evaporator is out, it may be repairable. It just depends on where
the leak is, the overall condition of the evaporator, and the ability of your local A/C shops.
