Nice dig at Corvette owners, reminds me of the Consumer Report buyers
that use no judgment at all and like you lemmings, do what they say.

Wrong again gasoline breath, I've had my '05 for near 6 years and it
hasn't dropped that much yet. Actually it can't because I didn't pay
anywhere near that for it new.

> I would drive the 64 more but the stupid Holley dries out too

That's your problem, my '64 came with a Carter, works fine with new
gaskets, the new fuel will still evaporate with an open fuel systems
of the 60's. You don't drive it because you're to lazy to get it
running with todays technology and fuel.

Not really, it is deteriorating as we speak if it is not driven.

With a 2:73 rear end you want it to peak at 8,000 RPM? You realize
that rotation speed will come about 5,500 RPM for the non-flying
Corvette? Hell's fire you can get the '64's front wheels off the
ground before that.

> Torque peak at 4600 rpm. Sounds more like the torque peak of my

Hard for you to tell the difference between a single cylinder and a
LSX V8? Maybe you don't need to wait to retire, sounds like you can go
now on a disability.

> I am not in the fancy car business much anymore.

So you're saying now you have no intention of buying a Corvette like
you said when you started this thread? I should have known that by
what you said you were driving now.

>I am trying to get my ducks in a row so I can retire. I hate my job

Sure you can, you will pay a penalty but that is 100% deductible.

>Social Sec is 60 1/2 and medicare is 65, so I have a few years to go
>before I can leach onto these government programs.

Sounds like you have ****ed away to much money on foreign made junk.
Except for computers, TV's and clothes I've never done that. When the
company I worked for went to junk manufacturing off shore I left with
little to go on but kept busy at consulting for the companies that
were trying to build what we did but on dirt floors and some peddle
powered equipment. That has allot to do with the pussies in
Kalifaornicate passing the greenie laws that killed our industries.
Plus the tax laws that helped move most manufacturing to 4th world
countries. So if you hate your job it may be because of you and your
foreign designed and built car and the profits sent to Japan, ya
think?

> Anyway, take care, Dad. Was wondering who would reply to my rant.
>

You hang in there and don't screw up my income by putting more
financial burden on the SS and Medicare programs. I would hate to
break into my savings after only 10 years of retirement.
