GP2 also inspired an incredibly involving offline competitive environment.
That experience has since been eclipsed by good online racing, but in its
day, it was addictive and it was no problem at all to find the motivation to
run a full-length offline race just to submit the final result to an offline
league.

The first time you went up and over after touching the wheel of a
competitor, you knew GP2 had something in its bag of tricks which ICR2
didn't. Too bad Crammond just missed 3D acceleration with that release, but
the lighting effects he produced in software mode were sweet.
