CJ8 ignition switch problem -- strange and I'm stumped .....

I am voting on the coincidence. Maybe all the trying you did before
fixing the problem was the final straw on a worn linkage?

CJ8 ignition switch problem -- strange and I'm stumped .....

I would put the key all the way back past lock to the ACC position and
then try to mount the switch.

If that still didn't work, then I would try to measure the rod travel
from ACC to start and...

Hey, Mike Romain

It was just one of those days I guess. I did finish the bridge deck
that day though.

I think I am going to be ok. Injured my lower back also it would appear,

Replacing fenders on a '95 YJ...

Well, a 'good' penetrating oil is needed and you can still expect to
snap some of the bolts. Only one bolt came out on my rustbucket, all
the rest snapped. I got good at drilling bolts into a 3/4...
