Brakes issue
someone correct me ... but I dont think that is right .
the front wheels should come off one outlet into a tee.
some MC's had 2 brake light warning switches (I think ! )

Hot engine and difficult to tune
1st thing to check if its running hot, is timing and mixture.
Too advanced on the timing or too lean on the mixture will make it run hot.
Try ajusting the carb a bit richer if you havent changed...
