Saabs through the years - 2008 Saab 9-3 Sport Sedan.jpg (1/1) -42 of 42 (56KB)

That's a great series, Norm. What a shame that GM never understood, or
probably cared, what the essence of a Saab was. Now there's really no
reason to keep making them and there may not be time or...

1951 Packard Pan American Show Car

That's really interesting, Tony, because there's no way the original 51
Panamerican could have had this dashboard which came from the 1955 Packards.
Someone must have updated the interior at some...

1951 Warszawa

This was basically the Russian Pobeda built in Poland under a Polish name.
Very nice restoration. Considering how poor the quality of the steel was in
these cars it's probably rather surprising to...

1951 Triumph Renown

This would be the Triumph Renown Mark I TDB. I thought at first it might be
one of the super rare Limousines (only 190 made) but I don't think this is
on the long wheelbase. Lovely razor edge...

1951 Sunbeam Talbot

This would be the Sunbeam-Talbot 90 Mark IIA drophead coupe. One of the
nice features of this car was the roof that could be positioned in the coupe
de ville position, open over the front seats and...

1951 Pontiac-Canadian

Thanks for the second view of that very nice Pontiac. I remember the
puzzled looks on the faces of many a gas jockey as we took ours from Canada
to California and back a couple of times. Once we...

1951 Riley

Judging by the length of the scuttle (I can't really make out the badge
colour on the rad) this would be a 2.5-litre so it's the Riley RMB Saloon.

1951 Renault Colorado

This was popular in the French territories in Africa, South-east Asia, and
so on and was available in various configurations, including a neat version
with open sides and canvas side curtains. It's...

1951 Pontiac Eight-fv

That's what I figured, but I threw in the 8 just for good luck. :-))
Thanks for checking it out, Tony. We may both be at home but as an owner of
a beautiful 1950 Pontiac you've got a lot closer...

Hi Ron, All of these special cars (ambulances, hearses, and so on were

Hi Ron, This is also a Styleline. The fastback bodies were called
Fleetline. The difference between this one and the ones with the chrome is
that this is the Styleline Special while the others...

CORRECTION: 1958 Chevrolet Impala 2-Dr Hardtop - Red-White - fvr

Gorgeous! I don't even mind all of the doodads including the continental
kit that this owner has on the car. The fake exhaust outlets on the rear
quarter panels are a bit much, though, especially...

1965 Matre D-Jet

Hi Ron, that would be a Matra Djet (that's the only way to get the same
sound in French at the beginning of the word as in English jet).

Don't worry, Pat, they're all getting out to us. Customs aren't my thing
but I still look at these anyway.

File 01 of 51, Borgward Isabella TS 1958 fl3q.JPG (1/2) - 382Kbytes

This is one brand I wish had continued. It would probably no longer exist
today as an independent name but it would have been an excellent alternative
to Volvo throughout the sixties and seventies. ...

File 12 of 51, Bugatti T101 coupe by Guillore 1949 fl3q.JPG (1/2)- 343 Kbytes

It's almost sad to see this car and have to admit what Bugatti had come to
by this time. It was built on a pre-war chassis, with solid axle suspension
front and rear, and the styling of this coach...

upper price range, Bugattis were already old fashioned by this time. They
may have had a wonderful engine but their...

File 34 of 51, Cadillac 60 Special Fleetwood 1965 r3q.JPG (1/2) -405 Kbytes

Huge but still elegant and imposing at the same time. Too bad Cadillac has
lost all of the qualities that made it great in the past.

File 51 of 51, Chevrolet Corvette 1958 r3q.JPG (1/2) - 377 Kbytes

I'm probably the only person in the world who thinks so but I think those
chrome strips over the trunk that Corvette had for 1958 only are really
attractive. Of course, I also liked the same style...

A little test.......

I got 17 but really had to guess at some of the tag lines since I just don't
pay attention to car advertising.

i said it before and i'll say it again

Wouldn't you think that these drivers could get their cars into their proper
parking stalls? Or maybe that kind of attitude comes with ownership of a
car like this....

2009 Maybach 57S - silver - rvl

series Mercedes and that interior is really...

1955 Fiat 8V

These Otto Vu Fiats are amazing cars. I've got two scale models, one red
and the other silver, with all of the details. It seems that no two were
exactly identical.

Toyota recalls 214,500 Lexus vehicles in U.S.

Isn't it interesting to see how Lexus/Toyota are handling this situation?
Instead of denying there's a problem or trying to push the blame onto the
makers of the ethanol fuels or waiting to see if...
