There seems to be a bit of confusion about this.
Some are saying the struts, themselves, are different. Others are telling
me the struts are the same but the springs are different. So if you get...

Are the struts, especially the front ones, the same for the 8V vs. the 16V
Scirocco, 1987?
I had some work done on the car a few years ago and the guy doing the work
cautioned that a lot of things...

Gasoline odor
Update on the gas odor and poor gas mileage with my '87 Scirocco 16V.
I think I mentioned that the car started doing this after not being driven,
or even run, for a few months during the winter. ...
