Electronic ignition dizzy question

I am looking at a '70 beetle. It has a vacuum advance dizzy with
electronic ignition which I am not familiar with instead of points and

Cooling vanes in fan shroud

Does anyone know if the thermostatically-controlled, cooling vanes
from an older non-doghouse fan shroud will fit a newer doghouse fan
shroud? Thanks!
