New motor....

Got the 156 today, chuffed to bits with it.
It's been serviced but the service indicator has not been re-set. Does
anyone know how to do that?

Otherwise it's fine, I found £1 and 5p together with a box of Tictacs and
some sweets and girly bits behind the rear seat. Just need to figure out the
radio and climate control instructions now!

Well done on the new wheels. Hope it's as good as it sounds.

Here's how I reset my service schedule:

When stationary, press Info, scroll through to service, enter it and
then hold the + & - keys for 10 secs to re-set the indicator.

Press the info button. Press + until you get to the service menu, enter
it then press & hold the + & - keys for about 10 seconds.

I didn't read the whole thread, so haven't seen your post until I'd hit
send.

It matters not.....it's just nice that folks can get their answers here
without hassle.

Most of the time. We can add hassle if you like ;)

Well done on the car. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks, but it doesn't seem to work. The display keeps saying
service expired.

Apart from that I'm enjoying it, goes like stink compared to a Picasso
although it's only 30 bhp more. Italian horses must be stronger than French
ones.

Should the red airbag light come on at start up? Mine doesn't.

Hmmmm, that's the correct procedure.

Yes, it should. I suspect someone has removed the light, as 156 airbags
seem to give lots of issues, especially in the cars with the upgraded
interior (like yours and mine) which have airbags everywhere.

Keep meaning to remove the bulb in ours, too.

Really? I've a 2002 (new interior) 156 out there and my service warning
message has been on for months. Car is all serviced, but the garage didn't
reset the thingy.
