1982 Vanagon 2.0L engine support has arrows.
Which direction should they point?

<phew>
No mention of it in the manual,
but a close look at some pics
shows the arrows on the outer support
"ears" pointing toward the front of the car.

I guess there is some subtle asymmetry
built into the support bar.
