2000 Cabrio Driver's Window Weatherstripping Question

It seems the weatherstripping in my Cabrio's driver's window may need to
be replaced. When I close the door, the rubber seal of the top of the
window bends inward from the window instead of folding and then falling
over the window after the door is closed like I think it is supposed to
do. I can get the rubber over the window if I lower the window and then
raise it again, but there is a part of the rubber that always remains
under the window (this part of the rubber is the part that is supposed
to go over the plastic part of the window that holds the mirror; right
now this part stays bent inward under the plastic instead of over it).
Wind noise is beginning to leak into the car in this part of the seal.

My question is this: Can I do anything to make my existing rubber seal
to seal properly? If I have to replace it, what is the best way to do
it? Via the dealer? I guess I could do it myself if it's real easy...
but in that case, what is the best place to buy the replacement?
Hopefully I won't have to use any adhesives, etc... If I do get a new
seal, what is the best way to maintain it so that this doesn't happen
again (I know of at least another Cabrio with the same problem, so it
may be a common fault).

Thank you in advance,
