Cannot get NSR to run to save my life
Finally found NRS at Walmart and bought it, came home and installed it.
Now I'm getting this error message after I click to launch: "CD/DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and restart game" Yes I read the readme file!! so I have totally disabled my PC-cillian Internet Security Suiet, to the point of shutting it off. done a MSCONFIG and disabled all programs running (only had 1 enabled (PC Cillian) Shut off every task in task manager that the computer would let me, to the point of shutting down the system.............. I have a DVD R/W and A CD R/W installed but with only the windows drivers and no softeware. I totally uninstalled NERO. Absoultly nothing that shows up is running in the background that I can find. The demo worked fine as far as running........... Yes I totally un installed that and cleaned the folder it came from. Yes again, I have uninstalled and reinstalled NRS, twice............. I guess I will try installing it on my wifes computer (that ought to thrill her to death!!) ANy ideas Thanks Bill D aka Dockmaster |

Damn EA is playing Big Brother with us and won't allow their newer games to install if they detect virtual drives and cd cloning software. But cd writing software like Nero should be fine. Maybe at some time you had CloneCD or Alcohol120 installed and there are registry entries left behind so the game thinks they are still installed. |
So does Daemon tools fit here? I guess we'll see huh?
