156 2.0TS hot start problem

Hi,
My car (156 2.0TS, yr 2000, 50000mls) has a problem starting when hot
(i.e after it has been running for a while). It started happenning a
few weeks ago and seems to be getting worse. Once it cools down, it
starts fine, and it runs perfectly when hot. It just won't start again
if I shut it down.
When trying to start when hot, the engine is turning over fine, but
there is no ignition. (Seems like either spark or mixture is missing)

Any ideas?

Thx,
Ed

That is ok,just press accelerator to the end, then start engine.

Tried that. No joy. There just seems to be absolutely no fuel being
injected.

Definitely seems like a failed sensor of some sort.

Once the temp comes down to near 50 on the meter, it starts fine, but
I am having to wait 20 mins for this!

I'll get a dealer to look at this next week - so hopefully they'll
figure it out.

Thanks for your help,
Ed

"Unmanaged" basic injection engines iirc have a problem with hot starts.
There lie a possibility.
