Pajero heat problem, please help

I have 94 Pajero 2.8 diesel automatic, at present there is a problem
with the cabin (interior) massively overheating. The engine is
absolutely fine, and I have just had the air con serviced. Currently
on a long trip the heating appears to be jammed on and it gets to 38
oC !!!

Needless to say I would welcome any advice or experiences anyone has.
I have been told that a vent motor might have gone, but the person
doing the work wasn't sure and to be honest I wasn't impressed.
