rear window tips or tricks?

so i picked up the 91 brg miata just a little while ago (#2598) and it
needs to be cleaned up a little bit... i was wondering if anyone had
any suggestions for cleaning up the plastic rear window and perhaps
bringing back a bit of clarity to the plastic.

Any of the two-part cleaner/polish products will do: Meguiar's, Novus,
etc. Follow the directions. Don't do it in cold weather (<60°F). The
results are proportional to the amount of hard work you put into it,
both time and elbow grease, but if the vinyl isn't too brown, it should
come around nicely.

Run through the slideshow to see how the Governor brings one of these
windows back to life.

You'll be amazed.

It's a 3 window top available from anyone who handles Robbins.

Yup. Same as the three-window top on the old Fiat 124 Spider.

it does appear to add considerable visability, I'd love to hear first or
second hand experience with the 3 window.

The reviews on miata.net are generally very bad for this top, at least
the 3-window one made by Robbins. Here is a link to them.

well, with only two days driving the car i have to say i like it so
far. it actually has more visibility than my CRX did... as far as
quality goes i don't know how long the top's been on the car but other
than needing a good cleaning it's in pretty good shape, it's nice and
tight with no holes, leaks or serious scratches on the side windows.

i'll have to see how it holds up over the summer with the top going up
and down more often before i can really give any sort of informed
review.
