Not necessarily - don't know if this has been recommended, but he
needs to check battery voltage with the inverter running, as well as
voltage at the power outlet. Should not be more than 0.01 volts
difference. If there is a voltage drop the inverter may go into low
battery shut-down, even if the battery is good. Remember, a fully
charged battery is 12-12.6 volts. A running vehicle can be up to 14.6
volts. The shut-down could be as high as 11 volts, or as low as 10?
