I just came in the group to announce the show being aired, I got beaten
to the punch.
THIS CAR IS BUTT UGLY!! The new C6 is the proverbial dropped ball, that
Chevy has shot itself in the feet to produce...much to OUR displeasure,
MINE CERTAINLY!

I just had a further consideration, they said the former design team
member from Cadillac came over to the CORVETTE design team, as head
engineer. He must have left his senses and his pencils over at Caddy.
And then he enlisted, as it would seem, the entire 'failing' staff of
the PONTIAC AZTEC design team.
It would seem also, that the main objective to Chevrolet design, isn't
perpetuating the design we all love and crave in the newer models, but
painting 'targets' on the tops of their shoes, so they can increase
their 'hit/miss' ratio when and while they continue to shoot themselves
in the feet. WAY TO GO CHEVY...YOU ABISSMALLY DESTROYED THE DESIGN OF
THE TRUCKS, NOW, BE SURE AND RUIN THE ONLY AMERICAN SPORTS CAR MADE IN
THE U.S.!

If I was given a choice between a new C4, and a C6

The C4 would be the winner in styling hands down.

However, since the C5 is a refined C4 in appearance
it would be chosen over the C4

The C6, just looks like another eurotrash clone

(Accura, Mitsubishi, come to mind) ... that damn
"teardrop" headlight trend is like a cancer !

It would've looked better had they gone with perhaps
a rectangular design integrated into the body (vs.
the monkey see monkey do look of the current style).

I could've purchased a C5, or a C6 - it was no
contest, the C5 is clearly more sleek looking ..
(it's too bad you couldn't fit the new engineering
of the C6 into the C5).

C6 = what happens when you have a cadillac engineer
screwing w/an American icon - hopefully a new team
will design the C7

You say "eurotrash", and then list two Japanese cars as examples. Which is it?

Then there's the problem that, these days, most of the European cars using
those sort of headlights could hardly be called trash - TVR, Aston Martin,
Jaguar, Mercedes, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc. Point being that general
headlight form provides better airflow (and removes the possibility of
failure to pop-up).

So, the question is - do people want a Corvette with pop-up headlights, or
better performance ?
