How to remove master cylinder on 1950 Chev Fleetline Deluxe??

Any tips / experience regarding removal of the master cylinder on a 1950
Chevy Fleetline Deluxe??
I am stumped!
Does the pivoting part on the master cylinder slide out after removing
spring and bolt through the plunger, or does the whole arm up to the brake
pedal have to be removed with it??? I CANNOT see how to unbolt up there if
so. Just can't reach it... under, over, sideways,... does one have to
remove engine and or body from frame just to remove the master cylinder???
Or does one need to cut out the floor board??? I am quite frustrated with
it at this point to put it mildly!

Here is the brake Chapter from the service manual
http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com...rakes/5_01.HTM

Here is the official way of doing it:
http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com...rakes/5_14.HTM

The official instructions for removal of the cyly=inder are on this page:
http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com...rakes/5_15.HTM

Info on assembly:
http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com...rakes/5_16.HTM

I have removed master cylinders complete with the the pedal extensions by
removing the pedal shaft bolts at the top rather than removing the shaft
pivot pin etc as described in instruction #3. The hydraulic lines have to be
undone from below the car as likewise the clutch linkage and the two master
cylinder chassis mounting bolts. The master cylinder can then be manouvered
out. Watch out for dripping brake fluid in the eyes.
Hope that helps.

1 - you would be well advised to learn how to use google to search for
this kind of stuff. I put "master cylinder on 51 Chevy styline" into
google and on the first page found a link to someone's page which had
a link to this
"http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/shop/1949_53/05brakes/5_15.HTM
Which is the repair manual for what you want to do.
