Hi , First off, Drain the coolant while the engine is cool. I always drain
the radiator first, there is plug in the bottom. Honda engines have a
drain plug in the side of the engine, but can be tough to get out. I
always ues genuine Honda type 2 coolant , it ia already mixed with
distilled water, so you dont have to worry if you mixed it right.
Cadaiantire green coolant is fine, just dont use any of the orange
dex-cool that GM uses. And always mix with distilled water.

mike,

Also, you can undo one of the heater hoses and blow / wash the core out,
both directions. 80 lb air hose is not a good idea. Coolant must be
silicate free. Honda premix would be best. hondasuv.com has all the
procedures. Fill the rad to the top, and reservoir to MAX, then run the
engine until the cooling fans run. (go for a zippy drive with the heater
on hot)

Top up the coolant reservoir again once the engine is cold, and air has
been pumped out of heater core / block.
