I have seen this vehicle.
Lilac paintwork, white leather interior.
Registered with the plate 1MHU in December 1960.

1MHU is an engineering term for one million.

The boot/trunk badge was Morris Minor 1,000, 0000 instead of the usual
1,000.

I owned one for a while, it was a rust bucket and had to be scrapped.

I owned a 1960 Morris Minor pickup for a couple of years. Agree with
the "rust bucket" description, but the engines would run forever.

I agree with the engine description a gutsy little unit matched to good
gearbox with nice ratios.
I always liked the sound of the exhaust, a really raspy crackle.
Also had several of the vans, a reliable small runabout.
