1992 Buick Lesabre stalling problem? by [email protected]
My 1992 Buick Lesabre started stalling on me periodically the other day when idling. It starts up ok after stalling and the "check engine soon" light comes on every now and then. I checked the computer codes and I got code 34. At first thought it was my MAF, but now I am not sure. Yesterday as I...

Replacing upper engine mount on '92 Camry by Ken Bell
A friend has a '92 Toyota Camry and the rubber inside the upper engine mount ("dogbone") is cracked. It looks to me like it's a simple procedu just remove two bolts, replace the mount, and replace the two bolts. It doesn't look to me like the mount is actually supporting the engine at...

Play in serpentine belt tensioner? by George[_1_]
('99 Cavalier) The tensioner pulley is a little hard to reach, but I can definitely feel some movement when I wiggle it with my fingers. I'm thinking this is no way good? Thanks, George

2000 Taurus Leaking Gas? by Jake
I own a 2000 Ford Taurus. Recently I started to notice that when the car sits for a long period of time (overnight for example), it leaks enough fluid to form a small puddle behind the left rear wheel. I don't smell gas, and when I wipe the stuff off the floor, it does not appear to be gas, but I...

paint questions by [email protected]
I've got an older truck that I am planning to take to Maaco for thier budget 2 part enamel paint job. I was once told that it is a bad idea to have a car painted in the winter / rainy season because the cold damp air will somehow adversly affect the paint while it is curing. Is there any truth to...

E4OD Low/Rev Failures by arthall
I work for a large rebuilder. Lately we have been seeing a lot of burned Low/Rev clutches. Doesn't seem to be bad or wrong parts, or rebuilder error. No failed seals etc. Any ideas? Overheat program mode shifts? high engine brake torque at low line pressure? Electronic problem?
