Engine won't turn over by

Hi Folks,
I have recently purchase a 69 VW beetle for my wife (candy apple
red - her toy car) The vehicle was running fine until the battery
died. I just charged it up, and it looks to be fine (headlights turn
on, horn works, etc). However the engine won't turn over. I don't have
a repair manual...

OMG!!
I was just contacted by a guy in Finland, someone told him I once owned
his newly bought 67 beetle... true enough! He wanted engine specs.
My Frannie is alive! And WELL! Being restored right now!! Sadly, he
painted it with a different color, but still.. the old girl is getting a
new...

NO OIL! This late box has a special grease in it.
Normally, the box never needs grease added or replaced.

My son's bus was recently overhauled and it ran great for the past six
months but now whenever you step on the throttle it doesn't respond at
higher rpms.
It idles fine and responds to quick throttle inputs while sitting in...
