Thermostat Question 160 deg. or 195 deg.? by
The others have covered the t-stat question pretty well - don't!
As for the ping/knock, it only costs a little time to SLOWLY run a
pint of water through the intake while keeping the engine at a fast
idle. That will blast the carbon buildup off the heads and help with
pre-ingition for hot...

2002 Jeep Liberty Battery Cables by
.[_5_]
I tried to remove the negative battery cable so I could clean
the corrosion off, but I couldn't loosen the bolt because it has a
plain round head and it isn't a captive bolt.
Does anybody know if there's a trick to loosening the battery cable
bolts?
This round headed bolt business makes me wonder...

P0303 cylinder #3 misfire by
01XJ
I just started experiencing a rough idle on my 2001 Cherokee (78k
miles). My engine light went on a little after that with the P0303
code. I just replaced the spark plugs, but that didn't help anything.
I was
thinking about changing the ignition coil or fuel injector. One other
possibility I...

Grease inside 78 CJ7 brake drum by
1978CJDon
Hello,
I recently took both my rear brake drums off to inspect the parts. I
noticed that the brake parts under one of the drums were filled with
grease. My question is where did the grease come from? axle? Did i
bust a bearing or seal of some sort? What parts do i need to replace?
thanks!
