clutch stuff (shudder, adjustment) by
klashniv
Hullo,
I have been trying to figure out what would cause my '66 beetle to
shudder when clutch starts to engage. This started after I had my
tranny and clutch changed.
After much searching (bentley manual, here, lots of other sites),
common cause seems to inadequate sag in the bowden tube.
Before...

Well, I got older but nothing exiting to post on RAMVA by
P.J.Berg[_3_]
Well,(As mentioned before) someone posted R.I.P.RAMVA, must agree the group is slow.
So, as a trivial update, yesterday March 7 I turned 45. Not a big deal, especially when one lead ones life as a single youngster anyways.
That being said, 45 is half the way to 50 counting from 40.. 8~]
Not a...

Which Way??? by
OLI
I picked up a sweet ’60 Beetle in very good shape. Minor things to do
on it like brakes, clutch and so on. The ’60 does not have a fuel
gauge, instead having the fuel tap. Which way is normal, and which is
reserve? I don’t have a clue and none of the books or manuals that I
have show. Somebody...

Nose cone bushing by
Michael Rogers
I have a question.
I need to replace the nose cone seal and bushing in two trikes (mine)
Can they be replaced without taking out the motor and trans. Or can I knock
out the seal and do a quick fix..
Thanks.

Conned I think by
John[_28_]
Bought a Bosch GT40 ignition coil 'bout a year back. Being heavily involved
with electronics I thought I,d check the thing out against a standard 12
volt coil to see what they altered.
Somewhat surprised I found the primary ( 12 volt side) and the secondary (
ouch side) to have all but identical...

race weekend by
Jan Andersson[_4_]
I'm bored so I thought I'd babble a little. It's still aircooled but
unfortunately only about the lesser of the siblings... ;)
This coming weekend, we'll be in Sebring with a couple of our customers.
We'll be driving our white early 70's 911 2.4 liter in the race, and
we will also pit crew...

Moon hubcaps loose on new chrome rims by
Steve Mc
My VW moon hubcaps are too loose on new chrome wheels, not snapping onto
the rim nipple securely.
Any thoughts or suggestions to allow them to snap on securely would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

'67 VW Crusing Speed by
ilaab
I will be going on a small trip for me but a seemingly long trip for my VW.
It has a single port 1600, appearing to be all stock. I have aftermarket
chrome half moons but the tires are just a little wider than stock. I also
don't have a tach and other than me, I will have about 100 lbs of...

While cleaning the tank on a 58 Beetle this was in it and looks like
it was in it for a long time.
Does anyone know what it is. there is no aftermarket gauge on the
beetle or indication it ever had one
It looks to be made of copper.

Tires by
[email protected]
I bought a 2004 Touareg and it was shod with Falken tires - very
noisy, the noise sounded like rear end noise, so I took it to the
dealer and he said it was the tires! So I got some Michelin Latitude
Tour for a cool grand (ouch!) but they work great. No noise and good
road handling. I'm thinking of...
