OO Mustang Modification by [email protected]
I have a 00 Ford Mustang and I was looking into making the hood scoop a functional air intake system. I found that only the Mach 1's have functional hood scoops but I was wondering if anyone out there has found a replacement hood and air intake kit that would work on an 00 Mustang to make the hood...

Replacement Key by Stepford
I have a 96 Mustang GT and one of my keys broke. I called ford for a replacement and they told me the key has a chip/sensor in the rubber part of it. I would have to pay $35.00 for the key and about $100.00 to program. Does anyone have an idea how i can get the key programmed for cheaper?

Spring and the Mustangs are blooming in the Northeast by dwight[_1_]
Ah, yes, they're coming out of the woodwork. (If garages have woodwork, that is.) I'm starting to see a lot more Mustangs out and about. And after two oddly cold April weeks, the temp was in the 80s today, so most convertibles were top down. Including mine. I think I've got a good start on my...

1968->1971 Mustang Mach II? by Jeff Reid[_2_]
Does anyone here ever remember such a model? I seem to recall Mach II's in Los Angeles area dealer showrooms, probably a 1971 model. I also recall a magazine article about it, mentioning that the only difference between the Mach I and Mach II was a standard luxury package (power everthing, and...

How to tell if 1965 8-inch diff is posi by lxixboss
Hi all, My '65 A-code 4-speed fastback has an 8-inch diff. If I decode the VIN and warranty plate, it comes back as an 8-inch open diff with 3.00:1 gearing. With a 42 year-old car, however, it`s anyone's guess as to what's really in there now. Presently, the engine and tranny are out of the car....

1994 Mustang starting trouble by clunky
I have a 1994 Mustang and it's sometimes hard to start. There seems to be no power but when I take it out of park and put it back in again suddenly everything seems ok. I think it's some switch that stops you from starting the car in gear. My questions is what is this switch called and can it...

1965 Mustang won't start by adamfryor
Just installed a new Edelbrock Performer 289 intake and Edelbrock 500 cfm carb with electronic choke and can't get it started for the life of me! When I put the distributor back in it was right at the mark of where I removed it, couldn't get it started. So I pulled it again and set the engine to...

Ever Google yourself? by dwight[_1_]
No, not Google Groups (or what used to be DejaVu), but Google web search. I find it truly amazing how many websites mirror this newsgroup as "content," or disguised as their own internal discussion group. All over the globe, too. I know that some years ago Bill S. gave up, in large part because...

71-73 351C Question by nospam
I'm putting the final touches on a 351C this weekend and plan to drop it in the ol' mach some evening this week. It originally had the "X" style 4 blade fan (on the water pump). I found a 5 blade flex-fan and plan to put that on instead. My question is, I noticed that the blades are not evenly...

Lost keys for '70 Convertible... let me rephrase. by lxixboss
Hi guys, Thanks to those who replied but I don't think I related the problem effectively. The problem is how do I get the ignition cylinder out of the steering column if I don't have the key? Thanks again, Keyless in Ottawa
