wolfpack
My S-10 blazer (V6 4.3 4x4) has a fuel odor when parked in confined space,
a fault code P0401 (EGR system, already replaced the EGR vaulve), and a
buzzing or spinning sound from under the driver side of vehicle near fuel
tank when running. Fuel milage is terrible (about 270 miles to a...

Locking the hubs by
[email protected]
My boyfriend has just inherited a 1990's Jeep Sahara and I am about to
take it out to a friends house that really does need 4wd for about the
last half mile or so. I can walk it if I can't figure it out, but I was
wondering if someone would explain to a complete newbie without a
manual how I engage...

Noise from front wheel S-10 4x4 by
Spud Demon
Yesterday there was snow on the ground. I went out in the S-10 4x4 (1995
Blazer if it makes a difference) using 4-HI (electronic switch on the dash).
When I came home, I backed into the driveway and disengaged the 4WD.
This morning the pavement was dry. Everything seemed normal when I...

So the side of your bike has the best traction?
The tread on my tires always worked best for me.

synthetic oil in my new Tundra? by
Jeff Olsen
I will need to do the first oil change in my new Tundra fairly soon here.
I'm inclined to go with Mobil One. Any reason not to? The few extra
dollars is not an issue (not that I'm rich, just that an extra $40 a year
doesn't matter if it's better for my engine).

Need Tire Recommendations - 2002 Dodge Durango by
[email protected]
I've got an '02 Durango 4x2 which is my daily driver and tow vehicle.
The original factory tires (P235/75R15) are due for replacement.
I'm wanting to put on something a little bigger and more aggressive
looking, which might also add a bit of clearance that would be useful
for the very lite...

Smartbars by
Ross Newell
Does anyone have any comments on "Smartbar" Bullbars
which is a polymer based bar. When we saw it today, it seemed too good to be
true, light weight, antirust, reconstitutes it's original state in some
circumstanstances and as tough as some of the other more traditional
products
Despite this...

Trouble Codes by
lukeluke
I have a 99 GMC Sierra. I ran two codes that are PO171 and PO174 which say
the car is too lean. What should I look at to see why it is lean? The car
ran real bad but began to run better. It still misses once in awhile but
still shows the two codes.

New F-250 Diesel Owner by
Jerry
As a dyed in the wool Chevy owner for most all my 58 years, I just
bought a new 06 Ford F-250, 4 X 4, Crew Cab, 6.0 PS diesel.
Chevy dealers didn't want to deal on their new HD's so I traded my 04
Silverado Z-71 for a Ford.
Being a first time diesel owner, I'm looking for info, hints, anything
that...

rating of old cast iron S&S manual worm gear winch? by
[email protected]
The statement, "You're usually safe assuming the winch will handle
whatever the wire rope rating is" seems kinda like rating a truck based
on whatever tires the last owner had lying around and decided to throw
on it. I guess that's why you said "if you have a reasonably new
winch," and "All this...
